Rev. Tomy Thomas, Pastor
Rev. Mr. Timothy Tate, Sr., Pastoral Associate
Our Pastoral Associate, Deacon Tim, assists the pastor in both pastoral and administrative capacities. His roles at various times may include vicar of the pastor, assistant to the pastor, and liaison between the pastor and parishioners.
In addition to assisting at daily Mass, Deacon Tim heads our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults program and instructs our English Baptism preparatory class. He leads our Divine Mercy Cenacle, our Rosary Maker’s Club, and contributes weekly to our parish bulletin in his popular column, Deacon’s Corner. He also schedules our parish liturgical ministers.
Deacon Tim’s pastoral presence is also seen in his additional ministerial responsibilities, which range from baptisms, to funeral planning and burial services, to the occasional sacramental blessing.
Trisha D. Flores, Office Administrator
Our Office Administrator oversees all parish administration. Working closely with the pastor, her role as administrator facilitates the flow of daily office business. In charge of scheduling the church organizations on the church calendar also the mass intention requests as well special masses. She provides customer service to parishioners who need assistance with Baptism registrations, funeral arrangements and wedding information.
Manages all financial transactions and parish accounts. Ensures that parish bills are paid and that all contributions are deposited timely. Allocates the appropriate funds when requested by respective ministries for a variety of parish events. In charge of updating all the financial activity of the parish to the Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
In addition to handling payroll, leave-time, and benefits, this position ensures that employees are well resourced to execute all the responsibilities of their respective job duties. Handles facility contracts, licenses, and certifications.
Martha L. Guerra, Coordinator of Faith Formation
Our Coordinator of STM School of Religion, Mrs. Martha L. Guerra Coordinator of the Departmet of Religious Education manages all in which that encompasses, in both administrative and pastoral capacities. As coordinator, her role is integral to our catechetical Family Faith Formation programs.
Mrs. Guerra recruits, trains, and manages all catechists and assistant catechists who will be teaching catechesis in our faith formation programs. Mrs. Guerra plans all faith formation events, including ministerial, scholastic, and extra-curricular.
Mrs. Guerra works closely with the pastor to insure that the prescriptions of the Catholic Church for faith formation are adhered and integrated pastorally. As the Coordinator of Faith Formation, Mrs. Guerra is the vicar of the pastor in many instances, working with the parishioners for the benefit of the future of the parish, our children.
Jose Luis Hernandez, Facilities Manager
Our Facilities Manager, Jose Luis, assists the parish in multiple ways. He is responsible for the maintenance and security of parish grounds and facilities, as well as the preparation of facility rooms for various parish meetings.
Jose Luis maintains the parish grounds in all aspects and is in charge of the aesthetic qualities of our property. Beyond mowing the lawn and sustaining the landscaping, he also insures that facilities remain visibly clean, both inside and out. He also manages all the parish maintenance supplies and hardware tools.
Jose Luis works closely with our Office Administrator and Pastor to insure that related needs are addressed and resolved. He also is in charge of preparing and unlocking rooms for various parish meetings. As our night porter, Jose Luis locks and secures all buildings at 9:00 PM when our parish grounds close. As Facilities Manager, Jose Luis’s role is essential to the parish community.
