Father Ed Gonzales, Pastor/Administrator
Deacon Timothy Tate, Sr., Pastoral Associate
As St. Thomas More's Pastoral Associate, Deacon Tim, assists our pastor in a pastoral and administrative capacity. In addition to assisting with daily Mass, Deacon Tim's ministerial responsibilities include Baptisms, Funeral Planning, Burial Services, and Sacramental Blessing. Deacon Tim heads our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program and instructs our English Baptismal preparatory classes. In addition, he leads our Divine Mercy Cenacle, Rosary Maker’s Club, and contributes weekly to our parish bulletin in his popular column, Deacon’s Corner. Deacon Tim often also fills the role of Liaison between the pastor and parishioners.
Rhonda Villalobos, Bookkeeper
Mrs. Villalobos fills a bookkeeping role that requires recording financial transactions including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments. In addition, ensures that all church contributions are deposited in a timely manner. Is responsible for allocating Ministry funds for our various parish events, and processes payroll, benefits enrollment, facility contracts, licenses, and certifications. She is also tasked with the most important responsibility of reporting all of the parish's financial activity to the Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Flor Mata, Administrative Assistant
Our Office Administrator oversees all parish administration. Ms. Mata works closely with the pastor and staff to facilitate the flow of daily office business. She is involved in providing customer service of all manner to parishioners needing information pertaining to Registrations, Mass Intentions, Scheduling Ministry Meetings, and various other services.
Martha L. Guerra, Director of Religious Education/Sacramental Records
Martha L. Guerra is responsible for the Religious Education of our St. Thomas More Catholic community's youth. Mrs. Guerra recruits and manages all the Catechists and Assistant Catechists that teach our Faith Formation classes. Mrs. Guerra plans and coordinates all Sacramental preparation courses and events, such as Holy Communion, Confirmation, and RCIC. In addition, she is responsible for coordinating all Baptisms, Quinceañeras, Weddings, special masses, and Sacramental record keeping.
Jose Luis Hernandez, Facilities Manager
Our Facilities Manager, Jose Luis Hernandez, is responsible for the maintenance and security of our parish. Mr. Hernandez maintains the parish grounds and facilities in their entirety and ensures that our parish property is safely operating as well as aesthetically pleasing. Jose Luis works closely with our Pastor and Office Administrator to ensure that all facility concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
