 Parish Program Update:

Parish Program – Update

(per Archdiocesan guidelines received 12 May 2020)

-  Sunday Mass will reopen to the public beginning the weekend of May 23-24, 2020

-  Archbishop Gustavo strongly encourages the elderly and at-risk populations… as well
as minors to stay home and participate in Mass by means of Catholic Television or
parish live-streaming if / when available.

-  Mass attendance is limited to the number which can maintain appropriate social distancing.
Seating areas in the pews will be marked with tape to reflect distancing requirements.
The tape reflects individual seating.  However… Couples / family groups may be seated together.

-  Church pews and other ‘used’ areas must be sanitized before each Mass.
We ask that you arrive for Mass no more than 10 minutes before Mass begins
and exit the church immediately when over to allow sufficient time to sanitize the pews.
When exiting the church after Mass, social distancing should be maintained
-- Hand Sanitizer will be available but
parishioners are encouraged to bring / use their own if possible.
-- We need volunteers to help sanitize pews after each Mass.
If you are willing to help in this effort… please call the parish office (210) 655-5070.

-  Face Masks are highly recommended for all persons - except those too young to wear a
mask throughout the Mass and anyone unable to remove a mask without assistance.

-  Masses:

-- Daily Mass (Mon – Sat) at 8 am will continue as before Restrictions were put in place.
     -- Weekend Masses :

---  Mass attendance will be monitored to ensure social-distancing compliance.
---  The Saturday Vigil (5 pm) Mass, Sunday, 8 am and 5 pm Masses should not be
a problem… (attendance usually falls well within the imposed limit).
---  The Sunday 10 am and 12 pm (Spanish) Masses may present a problem.
(A few Parishioners who normally attend these Masses may consider changing Mass time
to the Saturday (5 pm) Vigil or Sunday, 8 am or 5 pm Masses until all restrictions are lifted).

-  Through the month of May:
-- Week-day (Mon-Fri) Rosary continues at 5:30 pm followed by Mass at 6 pm.
-- Week-end (Sat-Sun)  Rosary continues at 4:30 pm followed by Mass at 5 pm.
(the Sunday, 5 pm Mass will continue as a regularly-scheduled Mass until further notice)

-  Church Environment / During the Mass:
-- All loose printed material (songbooks, missals, etc.) will be removed.
(Parishioners are encouraged to use their own missals / worship aids.)
-- Masks are to be worn in the Communion line.
-- The Communion Line must be a single line… at 6-foot intervals.
-- Communion will be received in the hand only…
as stated by archdiocesan directive during this pandemic.

-  Reconciliation:  Individual Confessions will continue at the normal times and on request.

-    Please note:   If you feel sick or have any symptoms (for any illness),
